Therapeutic Neuromodulators (Botox)

Neuromodulators can also be used therapeutically to address concerns driven by excessive muscle activity or overactive nerve signaling. By modulating communication between nerves and muscles, treatment allows affected areas to relax, reducing strain and improving overall function.

Areas of focus are guided by your specific concerns and a detailed consultation. Common applications include:

  • Jaw (TMJ-related tension and clenching)
  • Temples and scalp (migraine patterns)
  • Trapezius muscles (neck and shoulder tension)
  • Excessive sweating (underarms, palms, and soles of the feet)

Each treatment is tailored to the underlying pattern rather than applied as a standardized protocol.

The intention is to restore balance and relieve discomfort in a way that feels gradual, controlled, and clinically precise.

Therapeutic Neuromodulators (Botox) FAQ

How long do results last?

Results typically last 3 to 6 months, with variation depending on the treatment area, dosing, and individual response.

It is recommended to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications or supplements, when appropriate, for several days prior to treatment. Arriving with clean skin is preferred.

Onset varies depending on the area treated and dosing. Initial effects may begin within a few days, with full results typically developing over 1 to 2 weeks.

Avoid lying flat, strenuous activity, alcohol, and excessive heat exposure for the remainder of the day. Do not massage or apply pressure to treated areas.

Treatment is generally well tolerated. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising at injection sites can occur. Some individuals may experience a temporary headache. Less commonly, there may be temporary weakness in nearby muscles depending on the treatment area. All risks are reviewed during consultation to ensure safety and appropriateness.
