Dermal Fillers (Hyaluronic Acid)

Dermal fillers are a refined approach to restoring balance, structure, and definition. By replacing volume that has been lost over time or enhancing areas with intention, treatment can soften contours, support facial architecture, and create subtle definition where it is most impactful.

Rather than focusing on a single feature, the face is approached as a whole. Thoughtful placement allows for enhancements such as cheek support, softening of lines, lip refinement, and jawline definition, while maintaining harmony and natural proportions.

Results can range from understated refinement to more noticeable enhancement, always guided by your individual features and aesthetic goals.

Dermal Fillers (Hyaluronic Acid) FAQ

How long do dermal filler results last?

Longevity varies depending on the product used, treatment area, and individual metabolism. Most fillers last 6 to 18 months.

Neuromodulators such as Botox and Dysport relax muscle activity to soften lines caused by movement. Dermal fillers restore or add volume to enhance structure and contour.

Some bruising is possible, particularly in more vascular areas. This is typically mild and temporary.

When placed appropriately and conservatively, filler remains stable within the treated area. Migration is uncommon and often associated with overfilling or poor technique.

Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be dissolved using an enzyme, allowing for adjustment or reversal if needed.

To support comfort, a topical numbing agent is typically applied prior to treatment. In certain areas, a local anesthetic may also be used.

Recovery is minimal for most. Most individuals can return to usual activities the same day, with mild swelling or bruising resolving over the following few days.

Treatment is generally well tolerated. You may feel slight pressure or a brief pinch during injections, with comfort measures in place.

Results are visible immediately following treatment, with continued refinement as swelling subsides. Final results are best assessed around 4 to 6 weeks.

It is recommended to avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications or supplements such as aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, and vitamin E for several days prior, when appropriate, to minimize the risk of bruising.

Avoid excessive pressure on treated areas, strenuous activity, alcohol, and heat exposure for the remainder of the day. Sleeping on your back and avoiding facial massage for the first 24 hours is also recommended.
